When I started making subtitles for movies/TV-shows, I decided to make the subtitles the way I would like them. Nowadays, I really don't even use my own subtitles. That's why I'm starting this topic, to discuss the way I'm gonna make subtitles in the future.
At the moment, I translate almost every spoken word in a movie, which makes sure you don't miss anything of what's being said. There are two downsides to this: Firstly, it requires you to have a high reading speed, and secondly, it takes longer time to make these subtitles.
So that's why I've been thinking, maybe it is best to make subtitles the way they are on television etc.
On these types of subtitles, certain words are cut out in order to make the sentences shorter and easier to read. It also takes less time to make those subtitles.
Which type of subtitles do you want?

By the way, as an example, the latest subtitled torrent (The.King.of.Queens.S08E01.NORSUB.HDTV.XviD-Ratchet.avi) is of the type I mentioned last. So far this is the only torrent I've made with "slow-reading" subtitles, but I will probably make more of those eventually. Some feedback on how you want the subtitles to be is greatly appreciated.
